…in more than 6 years. It’s been quite a journey, so far so good. “So what?”, I think.
Here’s what ‘ve been telling myself all these years. Change is good, it will help me be on my toes and be more sensible. I’ve had bad days, had better and good days. That’s not gonna change, that’s how the world works, you get one when you lose the other. I’m not worried about that. But, ‘m not trying to simplify the whole thing, I’ve my way of looking at things.
There are two kinds of people, the ones who are on your side and the rest on the other side. But, they think the same, they wish good things for you. One of my favourite lines from “The Alchemist”
“What’s the world’s greatest lie? It’s this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. ”
It’s not like ‘m gonna start building pyramids, ‘ll be doing the same damn thing. The four walls are gonna be bouncing of the same kinda voices and thoughts, it’s just that, ‘ll feel different for a few days. I’ve been warned of being attached to a job emotionally, so, ‘m trying to be indifferent to the whole thing. Well, it’s never that simple, is it? Your definition of being or existence is underlined by your first job, and, nothing can take away the credit. So, you have to give that to it. I respect that.
The pitstop thing is my way of saying, that ‘m into F1. I love F1, ‘ve been watching since the day they started showing it on TV, 1994 to be precise. I’ll reserve that for another blog sometime.
So, today is my last day at my current job. I’ve never done this before, it’s not like one does this often, you shouldn’t. I’ve had fun out here, it has earned me the respect that I’ve walk with today. I’ve travelled to parts of the world, which I’ve only dreamt of before I got here. “United States of America?” if you ask, “Precisely!” will be my answer.
Chicago Rulez! I loved my stay there, if not for anything else, I’ll go there just for the music — Blues, Jazz, Rock, trance, I saw everything out there. Oh yea, I even saw Brij Bhushan Kabra at the World music festival.
I’ve worked with some cool people in the last 6 years, Bangalore and Chicago. We’ve done some great things together, it’s been lot of fun.
I’ve no regrets, I should never have, I believe.
